Seen & Heard Therapy 

Seen & Heard Therapy is a Paediatric Speech Pathology clinic in West End, Townsville. We are in service to children's authentic expression and work with children and their families to help achieve their communication and literacy goals

The Space

Children learn best in environments that are calm and uncluttered. We have created a space with neutral tones and a minimal aesthetic so that children are not over stimulated.

Pretend Play

Pretend play areas allow children to act out their knowledge of the world. When children engage in pretend play with an attuned adult their play, language and literacy skills can be supported.

Sensory 

Some children benefit from additional sensory input to support their learning. For this reason, the clinic has equipment to support the varied sensory needs that children have including a swing, obstacle course, and crash mat. 

Location

The clinic is located on the corner of Ingham road and Morris Street in West End. Street parking can be found on Morris street, Flinders street, or Stuart street.

Research has demonstrated the access to rich high quality materials enhances children's language, problem-solving skills, and mathematical and scientific thinking. 

Mathematical and Scientific Thinking

Before children start school mathematical and scientific thinking happens and language is the vehicle through which this is supported.

Quiet Environment

The clinic is set up with both small and large rooms to best support your child's needs. Some children need big spaces to move around and other children need quiet small spaces to help them focus.
