About

Laura has been a Paediatric Speech Pathologist for over 10 years. After graduating from The University of Queensland in 2011 she moved to Melbourne and began working in schools supporting students with speech and language difficulties. After several years of working for both the Department of Education and Catholic Education, Laura moved into early intervention (birth-5) to expand her clinical skills. Within the early intervention space Laura worked extensively with children with hearing loss. This practice supported Laura to hone a deeper understanding of the relationship between language, play and cognitive development.
Within her role in schools and early intervention settings Laura has completed assessments, created programs, delivered individual therapy, ran trainings and information evenings, and has been involved in funding panels.
Laura enjoys working closely with allied health professional to support optimal outcomes for children. Throughout her career Laura has been lucky to work alongside skilled educators, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Audiologists, and Teachers of the Deaf.
